Giving back
As well as sharing fond memories and friendship, our Old Girls are pleased to give back. They give of themselves to the School in many ways, from participating in Careers Focus Nights for our current girls and their parents to supporting scholarship programs and endowing prizes on Speech Day.
Centenary Scholarship
The Centenary Scholarship is awarded annually to a Year 11 student, who is a daughter of an Abbotsleigh Old Girl, for all round participation and achievement. It provides 25% remission of school tuition fees for the remainder of schooling. Eligible students are sent a letter of invitation and application form during Term 2.
Kathleen McCredie Scholarship
Initiated through a generous gift from the AOGU, this scholarship honours the dynamic and positive influence of Miss McCredie, headmistress of Abbotsleigh 1970-1987. This scholarship is means-tested. It supports full tuition from Year 10 to Year 12.
Details, including how to apply for these scholarships, and a full list of scholarships offered by Abbotsleigh can be found here (link to https://www.abbotsleigh.nsw.edu.au/enrolment/scholarships – Colleen to review)
