Grace Cossington Smith Gallery and Abbotsleigh are delighted to present ART NORTH. This exhibition is a celebration of the artistic strength and creativity of students in Sydney’s North Shore. It comprises works by young artists from 17 secondary schools across the region. The students worked throughout their HSC year to achieve outstanding and thought-provoking works of art in a vast array of media and materials.
This annual exhibition presents works developed by Visual Arts students for their 2019 HSC examination. The Grace Cossington Smith, located on the boundary of Ku-ring-gai and Hornsby region, invited local schools to nominate their outstanding art students.
In the HSC Body of Work, students develop an independent approach to their artmaking, responding to issues of personal interest or concern and developing expertise in a chosen art media.
