This plein air drawing group have been congregating for years sharing a passion to draw, make art and explore visually the natural environment. Other than the river, a common thread is Hornsby TAFE where many of the artists studied or taught.
This exhibition negotiates the terrain between the shared experience of drawing by the River and the ensuing interpretive practice that brings finished artworks. In the plein air drawings we are able to find the River’s moods, tides and times of day.
